Subcommittee Charge
FASEB CARES (Career Advancement and Research Excellence Support), a component of FASEB's Diversity, Equity, Accessibility, and Inclusion (DEAI) initiative, provides financial support to alleviate burdens associated with caregiving—enabling researchers at FASEB member societies to continue their scientific training, professional development, and career progression.
The FASEB Awards Subcommittee reviews applications and recommends CARES recipients to the DEAI Committee for final selection.
Subcommittee Objectives
- Establish policies and procedures governing administration of the CARES Award program.
- Review and score applications based on program criteria.
- Provide oversight of program administration including annual review of program policies, procedures, and eligibility criteria.
- Promote the CARES program to FASEB member societies and within the broader bioscience community.
